Nurses,
who wanted to help so much, could not reach the thousands of victims
of the terrorists’ acts. The nurses realized that the victims
could only be helped spiritually rather than medically, especially
by praying The Divine Mercy Chaplet for those who were dying in
the airplane crashes and collapsing World Trade Center towers.
Those who survived also benefited from prayers to Jesus, The Divine
Mercy.
Today,
the mission remains the same:
- The nurses provide spiritual care and support of the dying
in emergency situations, catastrophic injuries, or in serious
or terminal illness. By prayer and by using their hands and their
hearts, the nurses bring the unfathomable mercy of God to the
suffering, sick, injured and dying and consolation to those in
need through devotion to Jesus, The Divine Mercy.
- Education and training of nurses and other healthcare professionals
on how to spiritually care for patients.
